Google Cloud has announced the appointment of Paul Dearlove to the newly established role of Head of Google Cloud in New Zealand. The move signals the company’s ongoing investment in New Zealand to meet the growing local demand for its cloud services and closely follows the recent announcement of its first-ever New Zealand cloud region.
Paul will be based in Auckland, leading the New Zealand go-to-market cloud strategy and strengthening relationships with local customers and partners. The new local cloud region will offer local customers high-performance, low-latency services and products.

Paul has spent the last two years as the Head of SAP across Australia and New Zealand at Google Cloud. Before that, he led the ANZ digital core cloud division for SAP.

Google Cloud's latest quarterly financial results revealed its strong growth momentum, having reported global revenue of nearly $6.9 billion for its third quarter. Having marked its 15th year in New Zealand, Google Cloud continues to build its support for local businesses, including Vodafone, Trade Me and Kami, to help drive their digital transformation efforts locally with speed, security and scalability at its core.
