8wave (Australia)

Deane Jessep has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer and New Zealand Country Manager.

"I'm happy to share that I am in a new position as Chief Technology Officer & NZ Country Manager at 8wave!" Jessep wrote in a LinkedIn post.

Previously known as Australian Business Telephone Company (ABTC) Group, 8wave was founded in 1991.

"8wave is a managed service provider with business service lines covering contact centre, UC, recording, transcription, and analytics. We have a national and international partner network and a diverse range of clients across many sectors," 8wave says of itself on LinkedIn.

"We are experts in professional office and call centre software and hardware. We specialise in audio and video conferencing endpoint & cloud solutions, IP Unified Communications systems, gateways and voice & data recording.

Atturra (Australia)

Deborah Pickering has been appointed as Account Executive.

Based in Canberra, Deborah will support Atturra in further building out market momentum for its portfolio of services for government, including those delivered through its Application Managed Services practice.

Pickering joins Atturra with more than 25 years of sales and business development experience in the IT industry. Having worked for several years as an Account Manager at M&T Resources, a specialist IT recruitment company, she developed recruitment and staff retention plans for government clients. During this time, she maintained highly productive client relationships and delivered innovative solutions based on understanding individual customer business and technical requirements.

Most recently, Pickering worked for ten years as an Account Executive at Dialog Information Technology, where she managed a team of technical and functional consultants and oversaw the delivery of major projects and services to large government clients.

"Deborah has that rare mix of exceptional interpersonal business development skills as well as industry knowledge and expertise to positively impact our clients. Big Red Group (A/NZ)

Brent Rutherford has been appointed to the newly created role of Chief Technology Officer.

With diverse experience in both technology and business roles, Rutherford's background includes helping scale technology and business operations in large yet rapidly growing companies such as Dell and Apple, and he has also held senior roles in technology solutions companies. With a customer-first approach, Rutherford is passionate about creating moments for customers that go beyond their expectations.

In line with the reopening of domestic and international travel, Rutherford is eager to modernise the technological requirements across every aspect of the Big Red Group business, including internal business systems, security, compliance and particularly connecting the company's five eCommerce platforms: RedBalloon, Adrenaline, Experience Oz, Local Agent and Lime&Tonic, into one cloud-native multi-brand eCommerce platform.

Working closely across all teams in the business, Rutherford will ensure the growth and evolution of the company is not held back by technological limitations.

"We've made exciting acquisitions over the last five years, and now as the leading experience marketplace across A/NZ, we're looking to modernise our infrastructure as we turn our attention to the next period of growth for us and our supplier community," Big Red Group co-founder and CEO David Anderson says.

Blis (APAC)

Media industry executive Natalie Muir has been appointed to the position of Insights Lead across the APAC region.

Muir joins Blis most recently from her senior role in audience strategy and insights at broadcaster SBS and brings significant experience from previous roles across research, strategy and insights at leading media organisations oOH!media, Macquarie Radio Network, and Commercial Radio Australia.

A 20-year veteran of the media research industry, the lure of Blis' strong global and regional footprint and impressive data practice sees Muir take up her post from this month.

"As Blis is a global organisation, I saw a great opportunity to work alongside wonderful people across the world with such diverse skill sets, and I was really interested in the kinds of clients that Blis attracts," Muir says.

"As brands and agencies continue to seek out non cookie-based advertising technologies I'm excited to use Blis' impressive data sets and tools to uncover meaningful insights and solutions for our clients across APAC."

Blis said the appointment will enable the company to strengthen its data and insights capabilities in the region.

The company has made significant investments in products and technology over the past two years, enabling brands to tailor their digital ad campaigns to reach consumers without reliance on personal data.


Boomi (US)

Former Deloitte CIO Larry Quinlan has been appointed as an independent, non-executive member of its Board of Directors.

As the former Global Chief Information Officer for Deloitte, Quinlan held responsibility for the $45 billion professional services firm's technology strategy and operations, overseeing more than 10,000 IT professionals in 175 countries.

Sought-after for his understanding of strategic impacts of emerging technologies, he brings over 35 years of experience advising Fortune 500 boards and CEOs. Quinlan currently sits on numerous boards, including those of two public companies: ServiceNow, a leader in cloud digital workflow, and Jones Lang LaSalle, a world leader in real estate services, as well as UBS Americas Holding LLC where he chairs the Technology and Cyber Forum of the Board.

Bonsey Jaden (APAC)

Backed by digital technology group CUE, the company continues to expand and strengthen its expertise and leadership team across Asia Pacific through a continued investment in its talents.

As Bonsey Jaden's new Head of Social Media, Sherwin Kukreja comes into the role with more than enough to go on, having occupied the same position for digital telco Yoodo under Celcom in Malaysia. He also runs on the principle that everything one experiences should inform the next thing.

"I've been on the client side as well," says Kukreja of his three years with Celcom, "and my international experience will certainly contribute to what I hope to achieve here [in Bonsey Jaden]."

"We are so excited to have Sherwin on board with us, giving us fresh leadership and experience in a key part of our business." says Bonsey Jaden Co-founder and CEO Daniel Posavac.

"We love the diversity of experiences and skillets from talent who don't take the traditional pathway: not exactly studying advertising, but picking up principles and skills through the years.

FM Global (Asia Pacific)

The company has made several senior executive appointments as it promotes seasoned leaders within the company to new roles.

James Thompson, FM Global's vice president, manager, global sales in the APAC region, has been named senior vice president, APAC division manager. In his new role, Thompson is responsible for the oversight of all operations for FM Global's Asia-Pacific division. Thompson is based in Melbourne, Australia.

Thompson joined FM Global in 1993 as a risk consultant engineer in the company's Melbourne office, and has since served in various engineering and leadership roles in client service, sales, and underwriting within the US, UK, and Australia. Prior to that, Thompson was an environmental project engineer for a Mobil/Exxon joint venture.

Thompson succeeds Ziad Alex S. Tadmoury, who has been appointed senior vice president, AFM division manager, FM Global's middle market business unit.

Tan Hian Hong has been named operations senior vice president, operations manager, Asia, and will assume responsibility for FM Global's operations in Asia. Tan was previously vice president, division underwriting manager, responsible for Asia and Australia. He is based in Singapore.

Tan joined FM Global in 2004 as a risk consultant engineer. Since then, he has served in a variety of roles, including account engineer, account manager, and client service manager, with a primary focus on Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, and South Korea.

Andrew Stafford has been appointed operations senior vice president and operations manager, Australia and New Zealand. In his new role, Stafford will be based in Sydney and will assume responsibility for FM Global's operations in Australia. Stafford was previously regional senior vice president, AFM EMEA and Australia. He succeeds Lynette Schultheis, who now oversees FM Global's Western division.

Since joining FM Global in 1994 as a consultant engineer in Melbourne, Australia, Stafford has held a wide range of roles across the company, including manager for field engineering training in Norwood, Massachusetts, USA, in 2000 and account manager for London operations in the UK in 2005. Stafford relocated back to Australia in 2008 as an account manager in Sydney before assuming the role of client service manager for Australia operations in 2011.

Both Tan and Stafford will report to Thompson.


HP (A/NZ)

Brad Pulford has been appointed as the company's new A/NZ Managing Director.

Pulford takes over from Michael Boyle, who took up a new global role earlier in 2022.

He is currently the company's Africa Vice President and Managing Director, having held the position since November 2020. Pulford will start in the new role this November.

This will involve him relocating to Sydney from Johannesburg, with Boyle moving to the company's Barcelona office from Australia.

Pulford's previous experience includes 14 years at Dell Technologies from 2006 to 2020. He served in multiple roles, most recently Executive Director and General Manager, from 2018 until his departure in 2020, when he joined HP.

In a LinkedIn post in August, Boyle acknowledged his promotion.

"I've tried to put into words just how phenomenal the last four years of being the Managing Director of HP Australia and New Zealand have been. But I must admit they might not do my experience justice!," Boyle wrote in the post.

"So much has changed in the technology industry because of how drastically our world has transformed and everything we've been through together.

"I couldn't have ever imagined that I would need to lead the business through two years of lockdowns while working from home.

"When the world slowed down, team HP sped up – innovating and pivoting to give people what they need to do their best. This was only possible with a rock-star team behind me."


inTechnology Distribution (APAC)

James McNeill as their Regional Director for Healthcare & Critical Communications across the Asia Pacific Region.

"We are very pleased to have James join our team," said Mark Winter, CEO of inTechnology Distribution.

"His appointment is a key part of our strategy to continue to grow our healthcare & clinical communications business in the Asia Pacific Region. James's experience and knowledge will be invaluable as we continue to expand our presence in the region," Winter adds.

"Working in different areas within the health sector allowed me to see that every day there are patients, healthcare professionals and organisations dealing with the same communication issues and challenges. As well as understanding how effective critical communications are within every industry," says McNeill.

"My role with inTechnology puts me in a position to help more clients and resellers in a more impactful way rather than just one partner or client at a time."

McNeill's role will see him regularly travel to engage, collaborate, and partner with resellers and customers across Asia Pacific to help them deliver their strategic communication priorities.

"We have an extensive healthcare centric product portfolio along with a solid partner and customer base, and we are committed to investing in innovation across the healthcare sector," inTechnology Chief Operating Officer Brandon Winter says.

"Clinical Communication is now a critical element across the healthcare sector, and we are very proud to have a senior health executive of James's calibre to lead the direction of our work with the health sector."

McNeill will be the driving force behind the re-launch of the Spok Partner Program to the APAC channel. Through the partner program, inTechnology Distribution and Spok will offer various tools such as business planning, technical support, training, marketing, and co-development to support partners in scaling their respective businesses. The Partner Ecosystem will become one of the core pillars of James's strategy for the Asia Pacific market.


Kacific (Pacific)

Ivan Fong has been appointed as Managing Director of the Pacific.

Fong is one of the most influential and experienced leaders in the Pacific telecommunications industry, with over 28 years in telecommunications and over 18 years in leadership roles including at Telecom Fiji, then at ATH Group, initially as General Manager before becoming the CEO.

He was an Executive of PITA (Pacific Islands Telecommunications Association) from 2002 and was subsequently elected President from 2010 to 2016. During his time at ATH Group, he has also been Chairman of Vodafone Samoa, BlueSky American Samoa and Vodafone Vanuatu; and Director of Vodafone PNG, Vodafone Cook Islands and Vodafone Kiribati.

Based in Fiji, Fong will oversee and direct business operations, helping to drive strategic growth and Kacific's overall performance in the Pacific Island markets.

His previous experience in the region will be invaluable, giving him an intricate understanding of the unique requirements of customers in the Pacific.

"There are very few people who have Ivan Fong's wealth of knowledge, as well as his deep understanding of the regulatory and legal environments of each unique Pacific nation," Kacific Founder and CEO Christian Patouraux says.

"Having spent decades immersed in this sector, Ivan is an asset to Kacific, and will be integral to furthering the mission of connecting people, businesses and societies through satellite technology," he adds.

KnowBe4 (US)

Ani Banerjee has joined the company as Chief Human Resources Officer.

A leader in Human Resources for the global technology sector, Banerjee will oversee KnowBe4's HR operations across 11 countries and will be responsible for developing new initiatives to enhance the company's organisational culture, its recruitment channels, and its diversity, inclusion, and equity (DIE) strategies.

Banerjee's 30 years of experience in innovation and global HR leadership has been at Dell, Yahoo and AOL throughout North America, Asia and Europe. Before joining KnowBe4, he was at VMware for eight years in a variety of international HR leadership roles, which culminated in his most recent one as the company's Global HR Head for SaaS Transformation Business Units.

"I came to KnowBe4 in part because the company has a strong, innovative culture, and extremely high caliber staff," Banerjee says.

"I saw that within the company, people operate as business partners to achieve common goals, which is something of a brass ring for HR.

"KnowBe4 is clearly one of the leaders contributing to Tampa Bay's emergence as a vibrant high tech hub. It's an exciting time to be involved."

Krach Institute (US)

The Institute has added two new Senior Visiting Fellows, adding new depths of expertise in global supply chains, telecommunications, economic and cyber security, and cryptocurrency to its rapidly expanding cohort of academic and industry leaders who provide policy recommendations and training to decision-makers and diplomats on critical emerging technologies.

The Institute is welcoming Capitol Hill veterans Eliora Katz and Scott Friedman to its ranks.

Katz is a specialist in cryptocurrency and financial services issues that intersect with national security priorities, and Friedman is an expert in supply chain risk management and economic competitiveness in the context of national security and cyber issues.

"Eliora Katz and Scott Friedman are adept at translating the complex geopolitical issues surrounding critical technologies vital to American foreign policy and national security interests," Institute Director Bonnie Glick says.

"As the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue works to bridge the knowledge and experience gaps between innovators and policymakers, their expertise will be invaluable in ensuring US and allied leaders are able to understand emerging technologies and make informed laws and policy decisions."

Katz is the Director of Government Relations and Policy at FTX US, the fastest-growing cryptocurrency exchange in the United States. Prior to FTX US, Katz served as a Professional Staff Member on the US Senate Banking Committee.

"US financial regulators have an opportunity to ensure that the next generation of financial technology and the standards that govern it are driven by the United States and our democratic values," says Katz.

"Such positioning will require thoughtful policy direction and is crucial to securing the central role US financial institutions and markets play in the international financial system. The United States must decide if it will establish a position of global leadership in the responsible development of digital assets or whether it will let strategic competitors shape the future of finance."

Friedman most recently served as Senior Policy Advisor to the House Committee on Homeland Security.

"Technology is the bedrock for all future diplomatic engagement," says Friedman.

"Whether it be transformational hardware, labor force participation, or value generated from digital assets how the world comes together, or moves apart, will be determined by how nations come to terms with these defining features of the next generation."


Lancom Technology (New Zealand)

Ben Walton to head this core division of its business. An experienced operator in the IT services industry, Walton first joined the workforce as a systems administrator in the late 1990s before working his way up to executive positions, including CTO of a Manawatu-based agritech company. With a long association with Lancom Technology, Walton has demonstrated his capabilities by delivering multiple automation solutions accelerating the pace of delivery, and most recently achieved success as Service Delivery Manager, where he optimised the Service Desk and built local and offshore teams for Lancom.

He points to strong demand for managed services.

"Every business today is reliant on technology. At the same time, there's an ongoing challenge because technology changes and advances rapidly, so keeping up is difficult for business owners who aren't technology experts," Walton says.

"The obvious answer, and one to which we're seeing a growing number of businesses turn, is engaging a trusted partner capable of taking care of the systems that keep operations humming along."

Even as the potential for recession looms, Walton says Lancom has not seen any slowdown in IT spending.

"That's a good sign and confirmation that IT is increasingly seen as an enabling investment rather than a cost centre. When COVID restrictions hit, we saw a rapid shift to work from home and the introduction of the necessary access, security and support arrangements. Now, as people move back into the office, we've seen a shift in perceptions of what work is and where it happens. Those COVID measures, in other words, are standing our customers in good stead."

Led by ambitious CEO Waruna Kirimetiyawa, Lancom itself has been on a sustained expansion drive. It has made multiple acquisitions of predominantly competing MSPs over the past five years, including opening offices in Melbourne, Australia, while enjoying simultaneous organic growth. "With Ben taking a senior role leading one of our core service offerings, Lancom is well positioned to continue its journey of expansion. As always, our value proposition is based on delivering quality services, targeted advice and guidance while making IT more accessible, reliable and easy to use for our customers," Kirimetiyawa says.


Medius (US)

The company has appointed Branden Jenkins to the role of Chief Operating Officer as the latest move to further accelerate its growth.

Based in Las Vegas, Jenkins is an expert in driving rapid business growth, leading cross-functional teams and go-to-market strategies.

He joined Medius in 2021 as Chief Strategy Officer, playing a key role in improving the operationalisation of many new strategies, particularly in go-to-market, product strategy, corporate development, and alliances.

With 20 years of executive leadership experience, he holds first-hand experience in large-scale SaaS growth.

Before joining Medius, Jenkins spent nine years at Oracle NetSuite, rising to VP of Strategy, where he helped to grow the company from $250 million to billions in revenue. He also held the positions of VP of Target Markets, and General Manager of Global Retail.

Prior to Oracle NetSuite, Jenkins held the position of CEO and Chairman at Retail Anywhere, a SaaS company based in San Luis Obispo, California. Branden took over as CEO in 2002 and sold the company to NetSuite after ten years as the company's CEO.

The COO appointment rounds out and complements the executive team with significant go-to-market and product investments from the addition Advent International as a minority private equity shareholder, alongside existing majority shareholders Marlin Equity Partners.

"As we look to scale Medius to a billion-dollar category king, we need a leader with extensive experience in sales, business development, and go-to-market strategies who can lead our daily operations and who will be instrumental in helping us continue to drive our business forward," Medius Chief Executive Officer Jim Lucier says.

"Branden will play an incredibly important role in supporting and challenging the team, as we evolve our business to further accelerate our rapid growth," Lucier adds.

"Medius is laser-focused on reducing risk and fraud for mid-sized and large enterprises with our patent-pending AI technology that takes AP processing from automated to autonomous," Jenkins says.

Milestone Systems (South Pacific)

The company has hired experienced security industry professional, Fraser Larcombe as South Pacific Key Account manager and further expanded its presence in the region by adding two new technical roles to the Australia-based team.

Well-known across the security industry in Australia, Larcombe joins Milestone Systems after four years at leading Australian video analytics company Vix Vizion, where he led the company's channel team and was responsible for product development. His 30-plus years of experience in the Australian IT and security industries includes senior roles at Panasonic, BenQ, Samsung and Unisys, to mention just a few.

Larcombe will be responsible for managing relationships with Milestone's key end-user accounts and overseeing Milestone's largest deployments in his new role. He joins the company's expanding Queensland office.

"Fraser is a staple part of the security industry right across Australia and New Zealand. He is the benchmark for channel sales and business development, his knowledge of the technologies and people involved across all levels of the industry is second-to-none," Milestone Systems South Pacific Country Manager Ash Ramanayake says.

"Fraser's experience and network of contacts will be a great asset, and this is absolutely a natural fit for Milestone."

Milestone has reiterated its commitment to the South Pacific region following the employment of Malou Toft to the role of VP for APAC earlier this year and Ash Ramanayake stepping into the role of Country Manager in June.

The company has expanded its local staff number by 20% in recent months, adding two new Presales Engineers, George White in Queensland and Robert Cannizzaro in Victoria,  to the team. It is also currently recruiting for multiple new roles.

Other internal moves include Anna Schreiber being promoted to the role of Asia Pacific Channel Manager and Brian Cross moving to the position of Business Development Manager.

"This really feels like a homecoming, despite not having worked directly with Milestone before. I have been in close contact with the team for many years across a variety of roles and have great respect for the work they do," Larcombe says.

"It is a particularly exciting time to work with video, as situational awareness and the power of analytics grows exponentially. Milestone's open platform is at the very forefront of that innovation, and I am extremely gratified to be a part of it."


Ndevr (US)

Tom Devine has been appointed to the role of CEO.

Devine has considerable experience across the Oracle Consulting landscape, as well as General Management roles in the Manufacturing and Supply Chain industries. He has served as Ndevr's JD Edwards Practice Manager for the past 12 years.

"Ndevr has an image built on reliability, integrity and customer success. I am privileged to accept this role and continue the tremendous tradition built by the directors and management over the last 24 years," Devine says.

Devine is succeeding Maureen Clifford, who is focusing her talents on the development of Ndevr's Mid-Market division.

Clifford will also continue as CFO and Chair of Ndevr's Board. She was one of the three founding partners of Ndevr in 1998 and has extensive experience as a board member. Her passion for the Ndevr business will be highly valued by the new expanded Board.

"When the other founders and I started this business in 1998, we stated from the outset that we wished to build a practice that genuinely served the JD Edwards community of Australia and New Zealand, providing our customers with the most highly skilled team of consultants in the region and delivering the best possible outcomes," Clifford says.

Nutanix (Singapore)

Aaron White has been appointed as APJ Sales Vice President and General Manager, effective immediately.

He will be based in Singapore and report directly to Nutanix's Chief Revenue Officer Andrew Brinded.

White joined Nutanix five years ago and was promoted into the role after having worked most recently as its Dubai-based vice president of EMEA Emerging Markets. Prior to Nutanix, he worked in sales leadership positions at Sage, Hitachi Data Systems, Citrix and VMware.

"Aaron has more than 20 years of international experience in the technology sector, simultaneously growing companies, and the sales teams within them, to deliver exceptional and consistent growth," Brinded says.

White graduated from the University of Liverpool, where he earned a BSc (Hon) in Human Movement Science and Physical Education and an MSc in Information Systems. He will relocate to Singapore with his family.


One Identity (UK & US)

The company has appointed three experienced industry leaders: Tat Ng, Darren Thomson, and Ken Evans. They bring with them a wealth of cybersecurity, SaaS, and enterprise software knowledge to accelerate One Identity's growth.

One Identity says these appointments enable it to continue meeting the ever-growing demands brought on by identity sprawl.

Ng joins as vice president of global engineering. He has over 25 years of executive-level experience in enterprise SaaS at companies like Rivermine (acquired by IBM) and ChannelAdvisor (IPO), as well as experience developing on-prem software in companies like Sybase and Borland.

Most recently, Ng was the SVP of engineering at Degreed, where he led their architecture and global engineering teams in modernising the company's system. Ng's expertise and unique background will help One Identity further expand and advance its leading unified identity security platform.

As the vice president of product marketing, Thomson brings over 30 years of SaaS cybersecurity experience to One Identity. Having worked at Symantec and CyberCube, he has consistently built out go-to-market strategies that drive business impact.

With a successful track record coaching CISOs struggling with the complexities of identity management, he has a clear perspective on how to help One Identity's customers capitalise on the company's unified identity security mission.

Evans joins as vice president of global demand generation & field marketing with a strong experience in growing unified technology platforms. Having held former leadership roles at Demandware, Veeva Systems and Fuze, Evans has 20 years of success leading revenue-growing teams through innovation and consistency.

In his role, Evans will support One Identity's mission as a leading identity security company by driving awareness and engagement with new and existing customers through cross-functional marketing programs.


RealVantage (Singapore)

Ng Beng Tiong ('BT Ng') has been appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors, Advisor and Member of the Investment Committee.

In his newly-minted ambit, BT Ng will provide strategic leadership in growing Singapore's leading private equity real estate investment platform's FUM by tenfold to US $500 million within the next five years; seek out new investment markets in developed countries (including Korea and Japan), expand RealVantage's offices, in Asia-Pacific, to Hong Kong SAR and Australia and widen its investor base. With more than 30 years of experience in real estate, finance, mergers and acquisitions, BT Ng will help seek out new business opportunities, industry trends and partnerships. In his role as an investment committee member, BT Ng will also be evaluating and approving real estate deals.

Trellix (A/NZ)

Luke Power has been appointed as A/NZ Managing Director.

Power was previously Cisco Commercial A/NZ Managing Director, where he made a name for Cisco's commercial business in Australia and New Zealand among private sector customers.

He also has 20 years of experience as McAfee Sales Director and Avaya A/NZ Chief Operating Officer, respectively.

McAfee Enterprise and FireEye changed the name of their XDR business to Trellix in January.
