Air Niugini transforms payroll with Ramco Payce in four countries

Yesterday

Ramco Systems has completed the implementation of its Payce payroll platform for Air Niugini, Papua New Guinea's national airline, supporting payroll transformation for over 2,000 employees across four countries.

With this move, Air Niugini has replaced its previous payroll and time and attendance system, continuing its digital transformation initiatives aimed at enhancing its operations and employee experience. The Payce platform is designed to automate repetitive tasks, reduce payroll processing times, and alleviate the administrative burden associated with income tax compliance.

The solution also provides Air Niugini's central payroll team with a comprehensive view of its payroll operations, integrating seamlessly with the airline's new enterprise resource planning and human capital management applications to maintain the secure flow of information.

Operational changes

According to Air Niugini, the transition was motivated by the need to advance its digital capabilities and operational efficiency, particularly across multiple international locations where the airline operates. With the new platform now live, payroll teams are expected to benefit from greater visibility, actionable insights, and agility in managing employee data and compliance requirements.

Ramco Systems, based in Chennai, provides payroll and cloud-based enterprise solutions to clients in over 150 countries. With Air Niugini now operating Payce, the provider's platform continues to expand its coverage in the Asia-Pacific region. Ramco's global payroll solutions are designed to support multinational requirements and integrate with existing human resource management systems, offering digital payroll solutions either in the cloud or as a managed service.

Payroll platform features

The Payce solution utilises automation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning features to deliver a 'touchless' payroll process. It also offers self-service reporting, an actionable payroll workspace, quick implementation tools, and the ability to scale across numerous countries and regulatory environments. The integration of robotic process automation and AI enables companies like Air Niugini to streamline their payroll compliance and gain operational insights.

Air Niugini operates a domestic network within Papua New Guinea and an international network across Asia, Australia, and the Pacific. The carrier is currently undertaking a fleet transformation programme and has scheduled the arrival of new aircraft, including Airbus A220s and Boeing 787s, as part of its expansion and modernisation activities. Air Niugini's offices and representatives are based in Papua New Guinea, as well as in Brisbane, Singapore, Manila, and other regions globally.

Ramco Systems serves over 500 global customers for payroll and more than 1,000 clients for various enterprise solutions.
