Noblecom boosts network resilience with Paessler PRTG adoption
Thu, 25th Apr 2024

Noblecom Technology, a Malaysian specialist in building technology, has adopted Paessler PRTG to heighten its network observability and proactively identify potential issues before they disrupt operations. Noblecom's core functionality encompasses the design and development of Complete extra-low voltage Systems and information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems and the provision of technology implementations for a broad spectrum of premises.

Paessler PRTG plays an instrumental role in improving Noblecom's network monitoring by offering early detection of potential network issues, proactively identifying possible problems before they disrupt the clients' critical operations, and providing timely email notifications. It also aids in the generation of reports encapsulating real-time insights about network optimisation and performance, achieving faster problem resolution and tailoring capacity planning. Furthermore, it helps make the allocation of network resources more efficient based on usage patterns, significantly reducing downtime.

Noblecom Technology has clients operating major buildings across various sectors in Malaysia, necessitating optimal, resilient, and 24/7 operational technology. Prior to the full upgrade of its network and the review of its IT monitoring requirements, Noblecom had a very complex and siloed approach to its infrastructure monitoring provided by several different vendors. The company sought to simplify this complex monitoring approach to ensure better infrastructure visibility and eliminate downtime.

The company realised the need to enhance the visibility and control over its entire network to improve its observability – an initiative to improve its capacity planning and make the allocation of network resources more efficient. With Noblecom's clients' servers and applications hosted in its data centre using network infrastructure from HPE, Cisco and Amazon Web Services, monitoring its own and its clients' workstations, ports, bandwidth, Wireless Area Network (WAN), Large Area Network (LAN), servers and virtual environments like VMWare and Hyper-V was vital. The diverse array of necessary sensors - including port, HTTP, SSL, FTP, Ping, SNMP, Linux and Unix - necessitated a single monitoring platform.

Implementing Paessler PRTG has seen Noblecom augment its network resilience and identify potential problems before they can disrupt clients' operations. "Noblecom has extremely high customer experience standards to maintain and it is with this eye on quality delivery that we chose to remove all the existing monitoring solutions and implement Paessler PRTG right across our entire ICT infrastructure", said Chiew See Gem, Project Manager at Noblecom Technology.

The deployment of Paessler PRTG has allowed Noblecom to harness sophisticated data-driven decision-making and optimise its network. The company is now able to identify the actual need for additional IT equipment and efficiently allocate network resources based on usage patterns rather than estimates. Customer service is critical to Noblecom, and the customer relationship extends beyond the completion of a build, reinforcing a long-term partnership.

"The ability to monitor our entire IT infrastructure with Paessler's PRTG monitoring platform within a single dashboard has simplified what was previously an extremely complex job", concluded Chiew See Gem. "Reducing downtime was one of the key objectives of Noblecom's network upgrade and network monitoring platform implementation, and the initial feedback is that Paessler PRTG has not only led to faster problem resolution but has also enabled its ICT team to be much more proactive."

Quality is always at the forefront of Noblecom's operations, embodying high intention, sincere effort and skilful implementation. The company's ongoing endeavour is to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction, which serves as a benchmark for its sustained industry presence.
