Capco to deploy OpenAI technology for global finance & energy

Tue, 18th Nov 2025

Capco has joined OpenAI's Beta Services Partner Programme, securing priority access to the latest artificial intelligence technology to support financial services and energy clients worldwide.

Partnership details

The partnership grants Capco early access to OpenAI's technology, including technical support, solution architects, and training resources. This arrangement is expected to help Capco deploy artificial intelligence solutions to address complex challenges for clients in banking, insurance, and the energy sector.

OpenAI will draw on Capco's experience of delivering transformation projects and digital solutions to financial services and energy clients over the past 25 years. Both parties plan to focus on integrating AI into existing workflows to improve operational efficiency, regulatory compliance and customer services.

Key applications

AI is anticipated to support a wide range of functions, from product design to operational improvement and compliance. One example is Capco's Compliance Assist, an AI-powered solution developed with OpenAI's technology that helps banks monitor upcoming regulatory changes and automatically identify necessary updates for policies and procedures.

This tool has reportedly reduced the compliance workload for banks by up to 80%, with significant time savings for multinational retail banks who would otherwise manually update hundreds of policy documents and reports.

Initial focus

Capco and OpenAI will begin their collaboration by exploring the use of OpenAI's newest model, GPT-5. The objective is to further enhance automation and streamline key business processes, enabling banks and energy companies to move towards proactive compliance and management rather than reactive controls.

Sector expertise

Capco's AI Lab focuses on developing regulatory and operational solutions for the financial services sector. The collaboration with OpenAI is expected to unlock opportunities for employee productivity improvements and custom experiences for clients, especially through more advanced language models and AI-powered analytics.
