Cloudbrink boosts SASE for gaming, expands into new geographies
Cloudbrink has announced enhancements to its Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solution alongside new strategic channel partnerships aimed at supporting high-performance connectivity worldwide.
The company's latest SASE solution is designed to meet performance demands across industries such as game development, creative content, and large IT and quality assurance teams. Cloudbrink has revealed that its offering now delivers a per-datacentre throughput capacity of 300 Gbps and per-user throughput of 1 Gbps.
Prakash Mana, Chief Executive Officer of Cloudbrink, said, "Cloudbrink is committed to providing the industry's best and highest performing solution. Our goal is to enable hybrid work at scale. That means supporting users that are doing everything from developing graphics-intensive video games, to holding high-attendance video conferences, to running systems backup over our service. We put a priority on innovation and we are constantly pushing the envelope to provide application performance that no one can match."
The enhancements are underpinned by software-based horizontal scaling of the firm's connector components, which allows enterprises to scale datacentre capacity without hardware adjustments or changes to firewalls. Cloudbrink's Active-Active Connector support means deployments can be made across any major hypervisor, with up to 64 connector instances acting as a single logical entity. This supports the 300 Gbps throughput capacity per datacentre.
The platform is capable of fully utilising 1 Gbps ISP lines for individual users, a specification aimed at supporting the high-bandwidth requirements of customers in sectors such as game development or those accessing immersive content remotely. In addition, Cloudbrink reports it supports 8TB per day data transfer per user, enabling consistent throughput performance for large-scale backups and cache-heavy application usage typical among IT and QA departments.
To address network latency and reliability, Cloudbrink uses adaptive last-mile optimisation techniques, including preemptive and accelerated packet recovery, aiming to provide stable application performance in environments subject to high packet loss or variable bandwidth.
Mana further commented, "No vendor in the market today comes close to the throughput capacity that Cloudbrink can support. Customers who need higher capacity are traditionally pressed to purchase additional hardware gateways, and are required to manage them separately to meet the capacity requirements of 10Gbps. With Cloudbrink, customers can eliminate unneeded overhead and infrastructure and get the highest performance in the business."
Alongside these performance enhancements, Cloudbrink has launched a strategic global channel expansion, including new distribution agreements. These moves aim to extend the firm's high-performance zero-trust network access (ZTNA) platform into Korea and other geographies.
Mark Craven, Channel Chief for Cloudbrink, said, "Cloudbrink solves the last-mile latency and reliability issues that channel partners [...] face on a regular basis. We are committed to a channel-first distribution strategy because for Cloudbrink it isn't just about geographic expansion. It's about enabling remote and hybrid workforces in regions that have been underserved by legacy solutions. Our goal is to bring world-class performance to emerging markets through the channel, not around it."
Cloudbrink's newly announced partnerships include an exclusive agreement with WITHX in Korea. According to Cloudbrink, the move enables rapid deployment of edge points of presence (PoPs) using its software-defined FAST (Flexible, Autonomous, Smart, and Temporary) Edges, which utilise existing telco and cloud infrastructure to deliver low-latency connections. The company states this can provide edge latency as low as 4-7 milliseconds for end users.
KiHwan Lee, Chief Executive Officer of WITHX, said, "WITHX is pleased to be the exclusive partner for Cloudbrink in Korea. As hybrid work becomes the norm, demand for high-performance and reliable connectivity continues to rise - no matter where the end user is located. We are confident that Cloudbrink's Personal SASE provide companies can deliver the fast, secure access their employees expect, with the security they need for little to no management overhead. We believe this partnership will help accelerate the adoption of more flexible and agile work environment in Korea as well."
According to Cloudbrink, its partnerships with regional value-added resellers, managed service providers, and systems integrators will bring localised language and cultural support to deployments in diverse markets. Channel partners are also positioned to provide managed access, onboarding, integration, and optimisation services as part of Cloudbrink's commitment to a channel-focused go-to-market strategy.
