Deon Newman, a seasoned professional with a distinguished 32-year career spanning various industry sectors, roles and continents, has been appointed as the Senior Vice President (SVP) and General Manager (GM) for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region at HERE Technologies. He will be based in the firm's Singapore office and takes over from Jason Jameson, who now serves as Chief Customer Officer in Singapore.

Newman has accrued substantive international exposure, holding various leadership positions related to brand, product, field sales, and marketing in Australia, the US, Europe, and Asia throughout his impressive career. His acclaimed track record is marked by leading global sales and marketing organisations, instigating sustainable business growth, and building productive teams.

Prior to his appointment with HERE Technologies, the leading location data and technology platform, Newman was the Chief Marketing Officer of IBM Cloud and Systems, a lofty position he held after more than three decades at IBM.
