Ecommpay wins two Retail Systems Awards for payment innovation

Yesterday

Ecommpay has received recognition in two categories at the Retail Systems Awards 2025 for developments in payments innovation and fraud prevention.

The company secured the Payments Innovation of the Year and Fraud Prevention of the Year awards at a ceremony in London, with judges highlighting both its Ecommpay Payouts via Hosted Payment Page and enhancements to its in-house Risk Control System.

The Ecommpay Payouts via Hosted Payment Page, described as an industry first, enables eCommerce businesses to offer payout functionality efficiently to member communities. This solution is designed to reduce the time needed for businesses to bring the service to market, addressing traditional challenges often faced when implementing payout capabilities.

On the fraud prevention side, the company's in-house Risk Control System (RCS) was updated recently to include Graph Analysis technology. This enhancement allows Ecommpay to examine patterns of fraudulent activity in greater depth, identifying not just individual fraud attempts but also uncovering linked operations that could represent more extensive coordinated attacks. The solution is part of a broader suite of tools developed internally by the firm, each emphasising flexibility and the capacity for customisation.

Both award-winning initiatives were cited as having a significant impact on eCommerce businesses and their approach to secure and effective payment processing.

Awards recognition

Moshe Winegarten, Chief Revenue Officer at Ecommpay, commented on the company's success at the Retail Systems Awards, saying:

"Ecommpay was founded on a vision to revolutionise the digital payment landscape for eCommerce. We are, therefore, delighted to receive these two awards at the Retail Systems Awards."

Winegarten added, "Our entire team has worked hard to deliver simplified and accessible payments solutions for merchants and their end customers. These awards recognise the genuine positive impact that the innovative Ecommpay solutions are having across the industry today."

Industry implications

The Retail Systems Awards are regarded as a benchmark for technological and operational excellence within the payments and retail technology sector. The dual recognition for Ecommpay reflects a continued focus in the industry on both seamless transaction experiences for consumers and robust measures to address security threats faced by businesses engaged in online commerce.

Payouts via a hosted payment page can provide eCommerce merchants with more flexibility in how they manage payments to users, clients or community members, reducing dependency on extended integration cycles or third-party systems. As eCommerce models evolve to include new types of business and consumer communities, fast and reliable payout solutions have become more integral to operational effectiveness.

Similarly, fraud prevention capabilities such as those introduced by Ecommpay are increasingly viewed as crucial to maintaining trust with end users. Analytical approaches like Graph Analysis signal a move among payment technology providers to address not only isolated incidents of fraud, but also broader, more organised activities that may otherwise go undetected using traditional methods.
