Freshlybaked strengthens team with key strategic hires
Freshlybaked, a Singapore-based borderless hiring platform, has announced the addition of three strategic hires to enhance its AI-powered global talent solution.
This development takes place amid a significant global talent crisis, with a report from McKinsey & Company indicating that 87% of companies are grappling with skill gaps. The new hires at Freshlybaked are expected to bolster the team's capacity in platform development, market entry, and integrating partner ecosystems.
Freshlybaked's end-to-end solution for global team hiring and management was launched in 2024 and supports various high-growth companies and venture capitalists across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) and European markets in scaling their international talent acquisition efforts. The firm is headquartered in Singapore, with key offices in Hong Kong, Australia, and growing talent hubs such as Malaysia.
The platform has reportedly integrated with prominent Employer of Record (EOR) providers like Deel to facilitate compliant hiring in over 150 countries. This allows businesses to bypass the need to establish local legal entities, reducing HR-related complexities and associated costs, while also offering flexibility in scaling teams and accessing essential skills that may be scarce locally.
Freshlybaked's technology provides access to a talent pool of over three million skilled professionals throughout the Asia-Pacific region. The company's AI-driven advisory service matches candidates to job roles in real-time, which is poised to help companies in Singapore and across key APAC and Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) markets form cross-border teams swiftly.
The newly expanded team at Freshlybaked includes Alvin De Jesus as Commercial Director, who will oversee and expand hiring processes across APAC and Europe, drawing from his decade-long experience in recruitment and HR solutions. Cian O'Neill has been appointed as Strategic Advisor, bringing expertise in HR tech and global recruitment to support Freshlybaked's rapid growth and market entry strategies. Jude Parveselli takes on the role of Head of Communications & Partnerships, leveraging his background in international tech communications to aid in platform rollouts and the expansion of Freshlybaked's global hiring ecosystem.
Paul Endacott, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Freshlybaked, expressed enthusiasm about this expansion: "Our expansion is a testament to the huge increase in appetite for global, remote, and flexible talent we've seen this year. I'm thrilled to announce this first tranche of Freshlybaked's cross-functional growth hires; they will play a key role in making sure we sustain our momentum into the new year."
Endacott further commented on the evolving talent landscape: "The talent ecosystem in Singapore and across major economic markets is now coming to a tipping point. It's become clear the skills gap SMEs are facing can't be plugged through L&D and traditional talent acquisition strategies alone. We're proud to be able to support digital natives with an alternative solution, one that's fit-for-purpose for our remote-enabled era. None of this could be possible without the explosion of tech talent across Southeast Asia, and we're excited to see that this growth shows no sign of stopping."
