Mon, 17th Feb 2025

Monta has appointed James Eyton as Chief Financial Officer, further strengthening its executive team as it scales operations across Europe and North America.

James Eyton arrives with substantial experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and international business strategy. His appointment follows the recent recruitment of Eleanor O'Neill as Chief Revenue Officer, fortifying Monta's capabilities to implement its strategic growth plans after securing €80M in funding last year.

James Eyton has an extensive background in financial leadership. He has worked across a variety of B2B and B2C sectors in the United States, Asia-Pacific, and Europe, with a proven record in scaling businesses, driving financial growth, and supporting operational excellence.

Reflecting on his new role, Eyton commented, "I join Monta at such an exciting stage in its journey. Monta is at the forefront of revolutionising EV infrastructure and I'm excited to contribute to its next chapter of growth."

A key aspect of Eyton's role will be to strengthen Monta's position as a European enterprise with a global focus. Originally from Denmark, Monta plans to enhance its presence in various international markets under Eyton's leadership and expertise in developing scalable financial processes and nurturing high-performing teams.

Eyton added, "My focus will be on building scalable financial systems, supporting operational excellence, and working closely with our exceptional teams to expand Monta's global presence."

Casper Rasmussen, CEO of Monta, expressed his confidence in Eyton, stating, "James' global perspective, strategic mindset and extensive experience in scaling companies make him the perfect fit for Monta. With James on board, alongside Eleanor O'Neill, we have a leadership team fully equipped to accelerate our international growth and maintain our position as a market leader."

James Eyton will oversee Monta's financial operations as well as legal and operational teams. He will collaborate with the leadership team to advocate strategic initiatives, ensuring Monta's financial sustainability in the long term. His approach is characterised by hands-on engagement and a reliance on data-driven decision-making, a method that aligns well with Monta's dynamic growth environment.

Casper Rasmussen further stated, "James' expertise in scaling companies, navigating regulated industries, and implementing data-driven financial strategies will be instrumental in supporting Monta's rapid growth."

Eyton will operate from Monta's London office, underscoring the firm's commitment to cementing its European operations while bolstering financial efficiencies on an international scale.
