'Remote Talent', a global marketplace connecting remote workers & employers
Thu, 16th Nov 2023

Remote has announced the launch of a marketplace designed to bridge global job seekers and employers. The marketplace, known as Remote Talent, is fully integrated with Remote's global HR platform, facilitating easy connections among companies and their prospective global teams.

The integral features of Remote Talent aim to revolutionise the job search process, with employers able to recruit candidates for vacant positions with ease. Remote Talent differentiates itself from traditional job boards by providing employers with access to a pool of proficient international talent who desire to contribute their skills to a fully distributed team.

Additionally, the full integration with Remote's platform means employers can extend their reach to potential employees anywhere in the world. The platform provides a seamless process to onboard new hires, remunerate them in local currency, and manage them throughout their employment lifecycle with integrated global compliance protocols.

Job seekers, on the other hand, will find Remote Talent a free and suitable platform to scout for remote roles with leading companies. It surpasses the search capabilities of traditional job boards by offering added clarity on remote roles. The embedded filter features allow candidates to refine their search according to various parameters such as time zone requirements, salary options (in multiple currencies, including Australian Dollars) and travel commitments. This makes it easier for the candidates to find the perfect job, irrespective of where the opportunity may be located in the world.

Recognising the shortcomings of traditional job search tools, which are not equipped to cater to the needs of remote employers and job seekers, Remote designed its intuitive platform to overcome these limitations. By offering details such as on-site and travel requirements, as well as time zone expectations, Remote Talent aims to improve the experience for both employers and candidates. Once hired, employers can manage their new team member’s onboarding effortlessly, regardless of location, arrange local payroll, offer local benefits and equity incentives, amongst other things, all underpinned by the industry’s most robust global infrastructure for legal and tax compliance.

Furthermore, Remote introduced a Freelancer Hub, a comprehensive platform for freelancers to coordinate their operational tasks. Freelancers are now able to join Remote for free, invite their local and international clients, generate globally compliant contracts, create and send invoices, and receive payments in more than 70 currencies. This move is in conjunction with Remote’s currency-agnostic payments and other tools aimed at managing international and domestic contractors.

Job van der Voort, CEO and co-founder of Remote emphasised the importance of removing locational barriers in the job search process. He said, “Today, talented people all over the world have more opportunity than ever to build fulfilling careers remotely – but the process of finding and hiring remote candidates is broken for both individuals and employers alike. In building this new marketplace we’ve optimized for simplicity and transparency, so it’s easier than ever for job-seekers and companies everywhere to find the perfect match."

This promising initiative from Remote stands as a testament to its mission of creating equal opportunities, empowering employers to discover and hire the best talent, and enabling individuals to build financial and personal freedom.
