UKG names Paul Broughton Asia Pacific managing director
UKG has appointed Paul Broughton as Managing Director for Asia Pacific, placing an experienced talent management executive in charge of operations across the region.
Broughton will oversee Australia and New Zealand, Southeast Asia, India and Japan. UKG said the appointment supports its plans for continued growth in Asia Pacific.
He joins from Cornerstone OnDemand, where he spent more than 15 years in talent management. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Asia Pacific and Japan.
Regional focus
Based in the region, Broughton will lead UKG's efforts to expand its customer base across Asia Pacific. His remit spans established markets such as Australia and New Zealand and a mix of fast-growing economies across Asia.
UKG sells workforce management and human capital management software, along with analytics and tools that use workforce data and AI. It says its products deliver business and workforce insights for customers.
The company has customers across education, healthcare, manufacturing, retail and services, and describes its data resource as the world's largest collection of workforce insights.
Workforce changes
Broughton pointed to shifting labour-market expectations across Asia Pacific and said frontline workforces would be a priority.

UKG has more than 80,000 customers in 150 countries. It says tens of millions of employees use its products each day across organisations ranging from small businesses to large global firms.
In Asia Pacific, Broughton will manage markets with differing regulatory regimes and labour practices. Workforce management and HR software vendors also face varied competitive conditions across the region, including local providers and global suites that bundle payroll, HR and scheduling tools.
UKG positions its offering around unifying workforce management and human capital management processes. It also highlights the use of workforce data and AI to generate insights, alongside tools that it says can inform day-to-day staffing and broader people decisions.
Broughton's background at Cornerstone OnDemand is in the talent management segment of the HR technology market. His experience includes leading regional operations and working with customers on HR programmes and technology adoption.
UKG linked the appointment to growth and customer service in Asia Pacific. With coverage across white-collar and frontline workforces, sectors such as retail, healthcare and manufacturing are key targets for regional expansion.
UKG did not disclose any changes to its regional structure or any additional appointments alongside the Managing Director role.
