Wild Tech launches Dynamics 365 deal for AYS Hardware

Wild Tech has launched a Microsoft Dynamics 365 programme for Ann Yak Siong Hardware, replacing the Malaysian steel company's legacy on-premise ERP system with a cloud platform.
Ann Yak Siong Hardware, a subsidiary of AYS Ventures, is moving its finance and supply chain operations to Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management as it seeks a single system across the business.
The company operates across steel distribution, manufacturing and related services in ASEAN and APAC. Its existing ERP system had been in place for years and heavily customised, prompting the shift to a newer platform.
Phase one covers core finance functions including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, cash and bank, fixed assets, budgeting and Malaysia tax localisation. It also includes procurement, inventory, sales, product information, costing and warehouse management.
Meanwhile Power BI reporting forms part of the initial deployment. The system is also being set up with a multi-entity structure to support expansion and acquisitions.
The work is being delivered onsite by locally based consultants. Wild Tech is using what it describes as a configure-first approach to keep the system close to standard software and limit further customisation.
This delivery model is intended to reduce maintenance demands and avoid adding technical complexity as the business replaces a long-serving bespoke setup. The said programme will run through scoping, design, build, key user training, data migration, user acceptance testing and go-live support.
Microsoft's Dynamics 365 suite is widely used by companies looking to consolidate finance, operations and supply chain processes in the cloud. For manufacturers and distributors, such projects are often tied to efforts to improve visibility over stock, costs and entity-level performance across markets.
Wild Tech's regional executive said the project is focused on bringing business information together in one system.
"With over four decades in operations, AYS has established a strong operational foundation, and the priority now is intelligence: one trusted view of the business that people can act on quickly," said Matthew Rodgers, Executive General Manager APAC of Wild Tech.
"Our role is to support the move to a tier-one platform built for scale and keep the build as standard as possible so the system stays flexible and easy to maintain," Rodgers added.
The selection followed an assessment of options across the Dynamics portfolio, with Ann Yak Siong Hardware choosing Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management as its target platform.
As the business expands, it wanted a clearer operational view. The planned system design links financial management with purchasing, stock, sales and warehouse processes in a single environment.
