Zepto has announced the appointment of Colin Baines as Chief Commercial Officer. This latest addition to their Executive Leadership team is part of Zepto's drive to extend its market share as the adoption of real-time payments accelerates.
The new Chief Commercial Officer brings with him extensive knowledge of payment systems, having served in senior positions at well-established financial institutions and emerging fintech companies. Baines was previously the Executive Manager of Merchant Technical Sales, Go-to-Market and Alliance Partners at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Prior to this role, he was Commercial Director at the buy-now-pay-later service Zip, and Head of Large Enterprise Sales at PayPal.
In this new position, Baines will lead the Commercial team at Zepto, orchestrating a go-to-market strategy that focuses on strengthening Zepto's standing as a trusted moderniser of enterprise business payment experiences. Furthermore, he will work on shaping a new fintech ecosystem through strategic alliances.

With a history of managing several notable corporate deals, Baines' previous responsibilities encompassed a wide range of go-to-market activities as well as leading, developing, and optimising various sales processes. His deep comprehension of the key determining elements of success will aid in fortifying Zepto's berth as a top-tier provider of account-to-account payment functionality at a whole sale level.
