Zocks has linked its client conversation data platform to Anthropic's Claude for Financial Advisors, giving financial advisors access to client context within Anthropic's new wealth management product.

The integration lets advisors use information captured from past client interactions in Zocks when using Claude to prepare work such as annual reviews and tax summaries. Anthropic's product includes prebuilt skills for common advisory tasks, while Zocks provides client-specific information through its connector.

The companies said information passed into Claude can include goals, concerns, and life events discussed between advisors and clients over time. The system can also draw on data from other connected record systems, including customer relationship management software and financial planning tools.

That means an advisor can ask Claude to produce a review document for a client and combine conversational context from Zocks with records held elsewhere, instead of manually assembling the material. The output can then be structured around a firm's own template.

How it works

The link is based on Zocks' connector built on the Model Context Protocol, a standard intended to let AI systems access external information sources in a controlled way. The connector lets Claude search, read, and reason over information available through the platform using natural-language prompts, according to Zocks.

The setup does not require coding or IT support, Zocks said. Access is read-only, and Claude can view only data that an advisor already has permission to access within Zocks.

Zocks added that the authentication process uses OAuth 2.0 and that access ends when the connection is disconnected. Those safeguards address a central issue for wealth managers as firms try to adopt AI tools while maintaining controls around sensitive client information.

The financial advisory market has been testing a growing range of AI products aimed at reducing administrative work and helping advisors generate documents faster. The challenge has been making those systems useful in highly regulated environments, where much of the relevant detail sits across separate software systems and informal client conversations.

Anthropic has positioned Claude for Financial Advisors as an AI assistant tailored to wealth management workflows. In this arrangement, Zocks is meant to fill a gap by supplying the personal and situational context that may not appear in structured records alone.

Brad Stoehr, Financial Advisor at Elsass Financial Group, described the effect on advisory work in practice.

"Zocks captures the substance of every client conversation, and Claude turns it into personalized planning work we could not have produced by hand. Together, they let us give every household a tailored experience while still running as a lean team. The conversation inside our firm has shifted from whether something is possible to what we want to build next," Stoehr said.

Push Into Advice

The move adds to a broader effort by software providers to embed AI more deeply into advisors' daily workflows. Rather than asking advisors to upload notes or copy information into separate systems, the aim is to connect assistants directly to the sources where client and operational data already reside.

Mark Gilbert, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Zocks, said the quality of the output depends heavily on the information made available to the model.

"AI is quickly becoming a standard part of how advisors work throughout their day, and they are interacting with it in multiple ways. When Claude has access to rich client context, it produces much more nuanced, personalized work that reflects the whole relationship, not just the numbers. We're excited to be an early collaborator in Claude's growing AI ecosystem," Gilbert said.

For Anthropic, the partnership highlights the constraints facing generative AI in financial services, where firms need tools that fit existing business processes and regulatory expectations. Its wealth management offering is designed so firms can shape the assistant around their own workflows, the company said.

"The financial services industry is particularly challenging for AI because it's strictly regulated and success depends on the trust an advisor has built with clients. Claude for Financial Advisors gives firms the flexibility to shape Claude to the way they actually run their business, and Zocks brings what each client has shared with their advisor into that work," said Peter Nolan, Head of Asset and Wealth Management at Anthropic.

Zocks said the Claude connection is available now. More than 5,000 firms use its software, including several large registered investment advisors and life insurers, the company said.
