01F Group has invested in Indonesian digital finance company DANA, expanding its exposure to Asia's fintech market.

Financial terms were not disclosed. The investment was made through 01Fintech, the group's growth-stage fintech private equity arm.

DANA operates a digital wallet and financial services platform in Indonesia, serving consumers, merchants and financial institutions through a single system. Its network spans metropolitan and non-metropolitan areas and includes millions of users and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, particularly in Tier 2 to Tier 4 regions.

The transaction gives 01F Group a position in one of Southeast Asia's largest digital economies, where digital payments are becoming more embedded in daily commerce. Indonesia's digital payments market could approach USD $1 trillion by 2030.

Market focus

Indonesia has become a major target for digital finance investors because of its large population, rising smartphone use and broad shift towards electronic payments. For groups seeking scale in the region, the country offers a large base of consumers and small businesses still gaining access to formal financial products.

01F Group said the investment reflects its focus on technology infrastructure linked to financial inclusion and the domestic economy. The partnership will draw on 01Fintech's sector expertise and regional network as DANA expands its financial services offering.

The companies also outlined areas for potential collaboration across the wider ecosystem. These include connecting merchants and smaller businesses on DANA's platform with lending and working capital products, widening access to services such as micro-insurance, digital savings and wealth tools, and exploring cross-border payment options for Indonesian merchants and consumers.

Kenny Man, Founder and Managing Partner of 01F Group, outlined the investor's rationale for backing the business.

"Our investment in DANA is grounded in three core convictions: the platform's exceptional operational discipline, its essential role in empowering local MSMEs, and the team's unwavering resilience. We are not just capital providers; we look forward to being a long-term partner to DANA as it continues to strengthen Indonesia's digital financial infrastructure and broaden access to trusted financial services," Man said.

DANA plans

DANA said the investment brings sector knowledge as well as funding. It described the deal as support for its existing platform and its efforts to serve merchants and communities across Indonesia.

"We are pleased to welcome 01Fintech to DANA's journey. Beyond capital, 01Fintech brings specialized fintech expertise, strategic regional connectivity, and a shared commitment to sustainable growth. Together, we remain focused on strengthening our core platform, supporting everyday merchants, and providing trusted financial tools to communities across Indonesia," said Vince Iswara, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of DANA.

The investment also adds to 01F Group's broader technology strategy. The firm said it operates through a set of focused funds and platforms, including 01Fintech, 01F GPS and the 01F Intelligence Fund, spanning fintech, artificial intelligence and the wider digital economy.

For DANA, the transaction comes as digital finance groups in Indonesia compete to deepen engagement beyond payments. Providers are increasingly seeking revenue from adjacent services such as transfers, credit, insurance and savings, while also trying to reach users outside the largest urban centres.

The emphasis on smaller merchants is central to that effort. Across Indonesia, many micro and small businesses have adopted digital payments before taking up other formal financial tools, creating an opening for wallet operators and fintech groups to offer additional products through platforms already used in daily trade.

DANA said its integrated ecosystem includes digital payments, QRIS and money transfers, alongside artificial intelligence-driven financial tools. It also highlighted work in cybersecurity and fraud prevention as part of its service to users, businesses and financial institutions.

The deal underscores continued investor interest in Indonesian fintech even as capital becomes more selective across the region, with attention shifting to businesses that can demonstrate operating discipline and a clear path to sustained demand from consumers and merchants.
