Adyen to streamline global payments for Frasers Hospitality
Thu, 4th Jan 2024

International financial technology platform Adyen is set to power payments for the global hospitality operator Frasers Hospitality in a number of regions including Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, and across Europe.

Frasers Hospitality is an award-winning brand recognised for its commitment to service excellence. The brand views continual innovation as essential in providing unforgettable experiences for its guests. This commitment to innovation led Frasers Hospitality to introduce seamless guest experiences across its entire digital platform, including web services, check-ins and check-outs, and food and beverage offerings, with the support of Adyen's single platform offering.

The partnership with Adyen enables guests at Frasers Hospitality-owned properties to spend less time at reception during check-in and check-out interactions. This newfound efficiency allows guests to spend more time enjoying the comfort of their stays. Furthermore, the partnership allows guests to choose their preferred payment methods, both online during the booking process and offline during moments such as check-in and check-outs, or while patronising Frasers Hospitality’s food and beverage outlets. Thanks to Adyen, Frasers Hospitality can offer guests a wide array of payment options, incorporating most major credit cards and popular local payment systems like Alipay, WeChat Pay, UnionPay, and GrabPay, among others.

“Our guests view our serviced apartments as their home away from home," said Mark Chan, Chief Operating Officer of Frasers Hospitality. "This sense of affiliation stems from our ongoing dedication to ensuring that our guests enjoy the most comfortable stay. With its innovative solutions, Adyen not only delivers a seamless journey to our guests but also simplifies back-of-the-house reconciliation for our operational teams.”

Hayley Fisher, Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand at Adyen, also expressed her pleasure to serve as the preferred payments partner for Frasers Hospitality, thereby aiding them in bringing their vision of exceptional and seamless experiences to fruition. "We understand that delivering bespoke services is always at the core of the hospitality business," said Fisher. "With our rich data and innovative solutions, Frasers Hospitality will reap the benefits of valuable customer insights via a single platform, thus enabling them to further amplify customer engagement across their operations."

Fisher further detailed how Adyen's complete integration with definitive data from third-party channels, such as property management systems, grants the hotel operator easy access to important data correlations, such as that between payment and occupancy information. With an accurate overview of room occupancy at their fingertips, Frasers Hospitality has the unique ability to readily adapt their operations to current demand trends.

Adyen's integrated solution has further streamlined Frasers Hospitality's operations. Previously, night audits required front desk staff to manually close individual stand-alone terminals throughout the property. They would have to enter the day's payments information into their property management system. However, since deploying Adyen's solution, each completed transaction's information is automatically added into the system, completely negating the need for night audits.
