FYI, this story is more than a year old

Air Liquide has successfully deployed Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) to digitally transform its HR processes and capabilities throughout Asia Pacific.

Air Liquide joins over 4,150 enterprises worldwide who have selected Workday HCM, and the gas, technology and services company is planning additional global deployments.

"We are excited to be supporting Air Liquide as it deploys HR digital transformation on such a large scale," says Sandeep Sharma, President of Asia, Workday.

"Digital agility is instrumental in helping ensure business success. Only by adopting innovative technology solutions that unlock insightful data, can organisations make faster decisions and help their workforce reach its full potential in a rapidly changing world."We look forward to supporting Air Liquide's continued growth through this trailblazing initiative which began here in Asia Pacific."

Air Liquide intended to digitally transform its HR to streamline both business and HR operations and offer improved employee experience and engagement.

This resulted in the deployment of Workday to make its HR operations more straightforward with a single source of real-time data for the company's workforce, comprising over 11,000 employees across 13 countries in the Asia Pacific region.

Air Liquide's MyHR platform now allows staff to use Workday's mobile and self-service capabilities to easily access information on teams and manage compensation, time entries, holidays, and time off.

In addition, the platform facilitates the effective onboarding of new hires and offers true visibility throughout the complete talent acquisition process.

Further, Air Liquide is currently deploying Workday's Recruiting, Talent Management, Learning and Adaptive Planning offerings.

Air Liquide says by making this significant change, it can overcome the difficulties of having the decentralised HR processes that come with legacy systems.

Moreover, this digital transformation in its HR capabilities is the first of its kind in Air Liquide's long history and has been well-received by its APAC employees.

The company has also been recognised as an industry leader for its Workday implementation, winning the 'Best Use of Technology' award at HR Fest Awards 2022.

Following this successful deployment, Air Liquide will now roll out this same technology platform design across its global operations.

"We are a highly diverse and global business with employees coming from a range of backgrounds and cultures, hence having a single, unified HR platform enables us to build upon our inclusive culture," says Yee Lin Chong, APAC Head of HR Digital Solutions, Air Liquide.

"Thanks to the power of technology on one central cloud platform, with Workday, we are able to bring about better employee experiences and hope to strengthen our brand as an employer of choice, which is crucial amid the intensifying war for talent.

"Following the successful APAC deployment, we look forward to similar success with our counterparts in other geographies, and the plan is to replicate this globally, ensuring that Air Liquide will have one unified, consistent, and centralised HR platform worldwide."
