Ramco deploys payroll platform for Aurecon across Asia

Ramco Systems has deployed its managed payroll services platform for Aurecon across seven Asian countries.

The agreement replaces Aurecon's legacy payroll processes in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia with a single service operated by Ramco.

Under the arrangement, Ramco handles gross and net pay calculations, retroactive pay adjustments, increments and payslip generation for the engineering consultancy. It also manages statutory compliance requirements in each market.

Aurecon has integrated the payroll system with Workday across the seven countries and linked it to third-party banking partners. The setup gives Aurecon's central payroll team a consolidated view of operations through Ramco's BInGO reporting and analytics tool.

The project reflects a broader push by multinational employers to standardise payroll operations across markets with different tax, labour and reporting rules. For companies operating across Asia, payroll consolidation can reduce reliance on separate local systems while giving finance and human resources teams a more consistent operating model.

Aurecon says the move has improved payroll accuracy and timeliness while reducing costs across payroll and other teams. It also gives the company access to more modern payroll technology as it expands in Asia.

Chief Financial Officer Andrew Muller outlined the rationale for the change.

Moving from multiple systems and processes to a single, standardised and harmonised approach across all seven countries has given us a much higher degree of compliance control, and real confidence in the road ahead," Muller said.

Ramco has been building its profile in global payroll software and managed payroll services, pitching employers on multinational coverage and integration with existing human capital management systems. Its Payce platform supports payroll operations in more than 150 countries and is used by more than 500 customers worldwide.

Regional focus

The Aurecon deployment adds to activity in a market where employers are reworking back-office processes to address fragmented systems, country-specific regulation and rising expectations for reporting and oversight. Payroll has become a particular focus because errors or delays can affect employee trust as well as compliance.

By consolidating services across several countries, employers can give central teams greater visibility into local operations while still accounting for national requirements. In practice, that often means linking payroll systems to finance software, banking networks and internal reporting tools.

For Aurecon, the payroll service now sits alongside Workday, which serves as the company's enterprise resource planning system in the affected markets. That connection is intended to keep employee and payroll data aligned across systems used by finance and human resources teams.
