Azets appoints Trevor Attridge as new Group CIO
Azets has appointed Trevor Attridge as Group Chief Information Officer as the international accountancy and business advisory group pushes ahead with its digital strategy.
Attridge joins the Azets Executive Committee and will lead the group's international technology function. He will oversee the development of digital services and the group's use of new technologies, including artificial intelligence and automation.
He replaces Interim Group CIO Paul Gilford, who will remain in post until 23 January 2026. The company said Attridge and Gilford will work together during the handover period.
Azets operates across eight countries with 9,000 staff in 190 locations. The firm works with more than 100,000 clients.
Global technology background
Attridge previously served as Global CIO at veterinary healthcare group IVC Evidensia. The company has revenue of about USD $5 billion.
In that role he held global responsibility for enterprise technology strategy, delivery and operations. He supported a 40,000-user base across more than 20 countries.
Azets described him as an experienced technology and transformation leader. The firm highlighted his track record delivering large-scale change in private equity-backed, listed and global organisations.
Executive focus
As Group CIO at Azets, Attridge will direct the group's digital services agenda. He will also focus on how the firm adopts AI and automation across its operations.
His remit covers both client-facing digital services and internal systems. The company said this includes work on the colleague experience.
Azets has invested in technology platforms across its advisory, accounting and compliance services. The new appointment aligns the group's technology leadership with its wider growth strategy.
Group Chief Executive Chris Horne said the appointment strengthens the firm's senior leadership team.
"I'm delighted to welcome Trevor to Azets as our new Group CIO. His track record delivering enterprise-wide technology and digital transformation across global organisations is world-class, and his leadership will be instrumental as we continue strengthening our digital services, enhancing the colleague experience, and unlocking the full potential of new and emerging technologies. We are grateful to Paul Gilford for his outstanding interim leadership, and look forward to ensuring a seamless transition over the coming weeks," said Horne.
Digital progress
Azets has expanded its digital tools for clients in recent years. The group says these tools sit alongside its local advisory and compliance services.
The firm frames technology, data and digital services as central to its international growth. Its model combines local offices with shared technology platforms.
Attridge said he aims to build on this existing programme of work.
"Azets has already made fantastic progress in modernising its technology and digital environment - and I'm excited to build on that momentum. I'm passionate about creating the right conditions for people to thrive, about simplifying complexity, and about applying technology, data and digital capability to drive long-term business growth. I'm looking forward to working with colleagues across the Group to deliver sustained outcomes at pace, for both our colleagues and our clients," said Attridge.
The company said the transition from interim to permanent Group CIO will continue over the coming weeks and into 2026 as Attridge assumes full responsibility for the technology function.
