Boomi and Snowflake join forces to bring enterprises greater data insights
Mon, 19th Oct 2020
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Boomi has entered into an iPaaS alliance with Snowflake with the shared aim of providing customers greater access and view of their data.

The pair have combined the cloud native Boomi AtomSphere platform and Snowflake's cloud data platform to enable customers to leverage all their enterprise data and accelerate business outcomes.

With the shared technical capability, customers can rapidly move data into Snowflake, integrate application information, create custom apps based on the Snowflake data, and push real-time insights to chosen people, the companies state.

The enterprise data management solution handles the entire data lifecycle - from discovery, through preparation, integration, migration, storage and visualisation.

It utilises a low code approach that is repeatable and scalable, and is flexible as it allows workloads to be processed where they are most optimal.

At a time when up to 70% of an enterprise's data remains undiscovered, the agreement allows enterprises to gain useful and actionable insights into a range of business data, the companies state.

Boomi senior vice president of product Ed Macosky says, “Boomi helps customers find, understand, and rapidly and reliably move that data to Snowflake where it can be used to power insights, key decisions, and business processes - all without touching code.

Snowflake vice president partners and alliances Colleen Kapase says, “Snowflake and Boomi's alliance is exciting due to the breadth of capabilities Boomi's platform delivers.

“The combination of Snowflake and Boomi's platform, encompassing Data Catalog and Prep, provides our customers with an opportunity to accelerate their investment in Snowflake.

Boomi has also announced that the company has achieved the ‘Snowflake Ready Technology' validation for Boomi's Data Catalog and Preparation service (DCP).

The technology program validates partner integrations, ensuring that these integrations adhere to Snowflake best practices, as well as allowing customers to distinguish validated integrations between the multitude of available integrations to Snowflake.

A customer commented on the alliance and use of the solution on the ground.

Dr. Scott Underwood, senior manager of business intelligence at Cooke Aquaculture Inc., a global B2B seafood supplier, says, “With Boomi and Snowflake, our analysts have the ability to drill into their data, combine it in ways not previously possible, and apply data science so our business can optimise logistics and be a better corporate citizen in carbon footprint reduction."

“The strong partnership between Boomi and Snowflake enhances our value and benefits everyone involved. Business analysts and IT are able to collaborate and rapidly provide better outcomes for our business and customers - delivering on our move to the cloud," Underwood says.
