Security training provider, KnowBe4, has hired two new sales leaders in the Asia-Pacific region. The firm, which delivers the world's largest security awareness training and simulated phishing platform, has made these appointments to keep up with the rapid growth seen in the area.
Joe Gillett has been appointed as director of sales for Oceania at KnowBe4. His role involves building and managing sales teams within the region. An industry veteran, Gillett has 20 years' experience in the IT and telecommunications sectors, overseeing teams in various sectors, from SMB/mid-market/corporate/enterprise to government, across all verticals. The experienced executive has performed sales leadership roles at 5G Networks, Optus and Telstra, and served as a board member of the Telstra Retail Diversity and Inclusion Council.
Regarding his appointment, Gillett says: "The people and culture are what attracted me to this sales leadership position at KnowBe4. I am also intrinsically driven to support organisations that have a positive social impact, such as the positive security culture transformation that is possible for those to achieve by utilising KnowBe4's security awareness training and simulated phishing platform. I look forward to building upon the incredible foundation of our partner network and to create more opportunities for others to thrive in the Australia/New Zealand areas."
Joining Gillett is Philip Tnee, who takes the senior director of sales position for KnowBe4 North and South Asia. He is tasked with responsibility for the direct and channel teams, and driving revenue opportunities within the region. Previously, Tnee served as the Global Business Service Country Head for Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines at TikTok, where he worked for a leading short-form mobile video platform. Prior to that, he led the Small Medium Businesses team for Asia Pacific at American customer service software company, Zendesk. Tnee's experience also includes serving as the Head of Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan for Criteo, and leading teams at Lazada, and Purpleclick. He is also the Co-Founder of three startup companies.
Tnee shared his enthusiasm for the new role, stating: "KnowBe4 envisions massive potential in the APAC region based on the incredible growth we have already experienced. We are pledging steadfast efforts to support that growth, which includes strong leadership to build out our teams to serve our customers and partners with the world-class level of support and service that KnowBe4 is recognised for."
Stu Sjouwerman, CEO of KnowBe4, says: "Both Philip and Joe make excellent additions to our sales leadership team. They have an array of experience in sales and reputations for success at large companies. I look forward to their contributions to our rapid growth in the APAC region."
