LH Bank launches LISA AI chatbot with Sertis & AWS support

Wed, 9th Jul 2025

LH Bank has partnered with Sertis and AWS to launch "LISA", an internal AI chatbot aimed at improving employee efficiency and access to information within the organisation.

Collaboration on digital tools

Land and Houses Bank (LH Bank) confirmed the collaboration with Sertis, an artificial intelligence specialist, and Amazon Web Services (AWS), a global cloud service provider, in developing the chatbot. The new tool is designed to boost productivity by facilitating quicker and more precise responses to employee queries, using large language model technology and robust cloud infrastructure.

Mr. Shih, Jiing-Fuh, Chief Executive Officer and President of LH Bank, explained the rationale for the development. He said, "The bank believes that employees are the heart of the organisation, an irreplaceable part by technology. However, combining human with AI support can significantly enhance operational efficiency. This belief has led to the development of 'LISA', an internal AI assistant chatbot designed to boost employee productivity by enabling quick and accurate access to complex information. Built on Large Language Model (LLM) technology by Sertis, engineered to deeply understand organisational context and respond to employee queries naturally, 'LISA' is further strengthened by advanced security system developed by AWS, which incorporates Amazon Bedrock Guardrails to ensure responsible AI usage."

AI assistant functions

LISA relies on large language model (LLM) technology developed by Sertis and implemented within LH Bank's digital operations. The tool is designed to interpret and respond to a wide range of staff enquiries by understanding the organisational context. It is engineered to provide support in areas such as information retrieval, task management, and internal process queries, all while adhering to security and governance safeguards.

Highlighting Sertis's role, Mr. Thuchakorn Vachiramon, Chief Executive Officer of Sertis, said, "The company specialises in designing and developing AI solutions, including those based on LLM, which have led to the creation of highly capable chatbots that communicate naturally and address the complex needs of organisations. These solutions also help elevate internal operations by enhancing efficiency, speed, and ability to access information quickly and accurately."

Security and scalability

Mr. Vatsun Thirapatarapong, Country Manager at Amazon Web Services (Thailand) or AWS, mentions that AWS has designed and developed "LISA" on its secure, flexible, and highly stable cloud infrastructure, enabling seamless scalability and ensuring that employees can access information they need efficiently. Additionally, it integrates Amazon Bedrock Guardrails technology to enhance trust through robust security, governance, and rigorous content validation to help minimize the risk of misinformation or deviations.

According to AWS, LISA's implementation incorporates Amazon Bedrock Guardrails, a technology which helps ensure the responsible use of artificial intelligence by enforcing content standards and protecting against deviations or the dissemination of inaccurate information. The solution is deployed on AWS's cloud platform, which supports reliability and system uptime as well as flexible scaling as the bank's needs grow.

Strategic direction

Mr. Shih, Jiing-Fuh outlined LH Bank's broader ambitions for artificial intelligence within the organisation. "LH Bank aims to expand the application of AI across all dimensions of the organization to upgrade the delivery of impressive experiences to customers and enable them to gain more convenient, faster, and safer access to financial services."

The bank has not disclosed specific implementation timelines for LISA or any quantified metrics regarding operational benefits at present. The ongoing partnership between LH Bank, Sertis, and AWS will continue to focus on enhancing organisational processes and digital infrastructure, with an emphasis on the secure and responsible deployment of artificial intelligence.
