Rockwell Automation and Augury have formed a strategic technology and go-to-market partnership focused on industrial AI tools for manufacturers.

The joint offering links Augury's Industrial AI Workforce with Rockwell's Fiix maintenance software and FactoryTalk Optix platform, connecting machine health insights with maintenance work and production data.

Manufacturers have increased their use of digital systems and AI, but many still struggle to act on the information they collect. Rockwell's latest State of Smart Manufacturing Report found that only 43% of collected data is used effectively.

The partnership targets that gap between detection and execution. It is designed to move users from identifying early equipment issues through diagnosis and maintenance planning to work order execution and ongoing improvement.

How it works

A central part of the tie-up is the integration of Augury's Reliability Agent with Fiix MAX, Rockwell's AI-based maintenance assistant. Augury's software analyses machine conditions, identifies emerging issues and suggests corrective actions, while Fiix MAX turns those recommendations into maintenance workflows, work orders and execution steps.

The aim is to create a more direct route from machine data to action on the factory floor. It also extends beyond maintenance by combining machine health information with production context, helping plant teams judge which issues are most likely to affect output.

The partnership builds on Rockwell's existing condition-based maintenance and industrial performance work through Fiix and FactoryTalk Optix. Adding Augury's tools is intended to deepen the information available to operators and maintenance teams.

Industrial groups have been trying to use AI not only to flag faults but also to embed decision-making into routine operations. Here, the companies are positioning the combined software as a way to support agentic workflows, in which software systems can recommend and organise follow-up actions rather than simply issue alerts.

Angela Rapko outlined the practical focus of the partnership.

"Manufacturers don't need more alerts - they need a faster path to action," said Angela Rapko, Vice President and General Manager, Visualisation and Asset Management, Rockwell Automation.

"By integrating Augury's Reliability Agent with Fiix MAX, we're connecting machine health intelligence directly to maintenance execution. Together, we're helping customers reduce the time between identifying a problem and resolving it while creating the foundation for future AI-driven maintenance workflows," Rapko said.

Factory focus

The deal reflects a broader push in industrial technology to make AI systems more useful to front-line staff rather than confining them to analytics dashboards. Maintenance teams often face a familiar problem: alerts arrive from monitoring systems, but the path from diagnosis to scheduling and completing work remains fragmented.

By linking reliability recommendations to maintenance management software, Rockwell and Augury aim to reduce that friction. The system is intended to help users prioritise interventions and carry them through established workflows.

Augury framed the partnership as a way to fit AI into existing factory operating models. Its software has focused on machine health and reliability, while Rockwell brings systems already used by manufacturers in maintenance and operations.

"Manufacturers need AI that fits into how they operate. We built the Industrial AI Workforce to put trusted industrial intelligence in the hands of front-line teams. Partnering with Rockwell brings that intelligence into the systems that manufacturers rely on every day, making it easier to move from understanding what's happening to executing the right action," said Elan Greenberg, Chief Executive Officer, Augury.

The initial offering is expected to be available in September, according to the companies.
