StackAdapt appoints Deirdre Chew as sales director for SE Asia
StackAdapt has announced the appointment of Deirdre Chew as the new Director of Sales for Southeast Asia. This strategic move comes as part of StackAdapt's broader push to solidify its presence in the Asian market, following the recent appointment of former Meta executive Liam McCarten to oversee its APAC operations.
Chew, who brings fifteen years of experience in the agency and digital advertising industry, is regarded as a significant addition to StackAdapt's leadership team. Based in Singapore, she joins the company with an impressive track record from her tenure at Google, where she was instrumental in launching the programmatic advertising business across Asia from 2014 to 2019. She subsequently focused on technology partner strategy, analytics, and advanced solutions in her role as the head of a measurement specialist team in Asia.
The company's latest move is seen as a continuation of its recent expansion efforts, which included the launch of Chinese-language programmatic ad buying in April. Chew's appointment is expected to further drive the company's market expansion in Southeast Asia, as she will be responsible for strategic initiatives and forging commercial partnerships to ensure sustained business growth in the region.
"StackAdapt is leading the market in AI-powered digital advertising, delivering tremendous results for brands by prioritising flexible business partnerships and a customer-centric approach," stated Chew. "The value proposition that StackAdapt provides to brands was a compelling reason to join the company, and I'm excited for the opportunity to create and accelerate a substantial business across Asia."
McCarten echoed Chew's enthusiasm, commenting on the significance of her appointment. "We are extremely excited to welcome Deirdre to StackAdapt. I believe her addition exemplifies our ambition and willingness to attract top talent from across the industry. Beyond her impressive track record, what has stood out is her client and agency-centric mindset. She will be a key member of our leadership team and a contributor to StackAdapt's growth across Asia," stated McCarten.
In her new role, Chew will focus on spearheading the market expansion of StackAdapt's programmatic footprint across Southeast Asia, driving strategic regional initiatives, and cultivating commercial partnerships to secure business growth. Additionally, she will be tasked with delivering a streamlined operating model to provide optimal customer experiences and mentoring her colleagues to thrive in a competitive, high-growth environment.
Before joining Google, Chew had international experience working at MEC as a regional digital manager in Asia and at iCrossing, a digital marketing agency in the US. Her comprehensive background in digital advertising and strategic management positions her uniquely to lead StackAdapt's ambitions in the Southeast Asian market.
StackAdapt has been at the forefront of the digital transformation in advertising and is recognized for its AI-powered, data-driven platform that combines machine learning with an intuitive user interface. This platform enables media buyers to plan, execute, and optimise their advertising campaigns across various devices and publishing partners efficiently.
The company's continued efforts to expand its capabilities and talent pool highlight its commitment to advancing digital advertising technologies and its position as a leading choice for brands seeking high-performance programmatic advertising solutions.
As StackAdapt continues to grow in North America and beyond, the addition of industry veterans like Chew and McCarten underscores its strategic initiatives to maintain a competitive edge and deliver unparalleled value to clients and partners in the rapidly evolving digital advertising landscape.
