DXC launches AI-powered platform to transform life insurance

Thu, 24th Jul 2025

DXC Technology has announced the global launch of DXC Assure Illustrations, an AI-powered SaaS platform designed to streamline how life insurers deliver policy projections.

The newly launched solution is intended to improve the speed, accuracy, and personalisation of policy illustrations in the life insurance sector, traditionally a process requiring significant manual effort and strict compliance controls. By leveraging automation and artificial intelligence, DXC Assure Illustrations aims to simplify what has historically been a complex aspect of the customer journey for both insurers and policyholders.

Ray August, President of Insurance Software and Business Process Services at DXC, stated,

"At DXC, we're focused on modernizing insurance operations through AI and automation to deliver seamless, intelligent experiences. With Assure Illustrations, we're helping insurers accelerate digital transformation and elevate customer engagement. By simplifying complex processes and enabling smarter, more personalized planning, we're setting a new standard for how the industry connects with policyholders."

Digital transformation

The insurance industry faces ongoing challenges to offer compliant and tailored policy illustrations, while also seeking to reduce operational expenses and extract greater value from existing systems. DXC Assure Illustrations responds to these demands by offering fast and customised projections across digital self-service, advisor, and contact centre channels. DXC contends that reducing the reliance on fragmented tools can improve both agent efficiency and customer satisfaction.

According to the company, the new platform is built on DXC's Assure Architecture and is pre-integrated with its core insurance systems. This structure is intended to ensure speed and scalability when deploying the software across large insurance books.

AI and user experience

One of the platform's key features is the use of natural language-guided assistance, allowing users to model multiple "what-if" scenarios related to insurance policies. These scenarios might include varying future premiums, cash values, or benefit amounts. Additionally, goal-seeking tools allow quick modelling of complex financial plans, such as changing premium payments or forecasting long-term policyholder benefits.

The platform also places emphasis on user experience. Its mobile-optimised and consistent interface is designed for intuitive adoption across various devices and roles, aiming to reduce learning curves and technical barriers for insurance staff and customers alike.

Operational efficiency

Pre-built integrations with DXC's life insurance systems are intended to eliminate the need for additional third-party solutions, reducing costs and deployment times. According to DXC, this strategic alignment is expected to enable insurers to bring policy illustrations to production more rapidly and with fewer IT complications.

The company has underlined its longstanding presence in the insurance software sector, stating that it processes more than 1 billion policies on its platforms and serves 21 of the top 25 global insurers.

Ray August added his thoughts on the technology's broader role in the sector, saying, "With Assure Illustrations, we're helping insurers accelerate digital transformation and elevate customer engagement."

Market context

The announcement comes at a time when insurers are confronted by increasing regulatory scrutiny and rising customer expectations for seamless digital experiences. Solutions that automate and personalise policy illustrations are becoming more sought after as insurers invest in upgrading legacy systems while remaining compliant with evolving regulations.

Over the years, DXC has positioned itself as a partner aiming to help insurance companies navigate operational complexity and modernise their offerings through a combination of engineering, technology, and consulting expertise.

By bringing together AI-enabled modelling, built-in compliance capabilities, and mobile-first design, DXC Technology is offering a new approach to one of the insurance sector's most critical customer-facing processes.
