Sber unveils dual-screen ATMs with AI & express health checks

Fri, 21st Nov 2025

Sber has introduced a new range of automated teller machines equipped with dual screens, an integrated artificial intelligence assistant, and a rapid health assessment feature.

Enhanced features

The new ATM departs from conventional designs by offering additional services beyond traditional banking. Alongside withdrawing and depositing cash, the machine allows users to receive information on banking products and conduct an express health assessment.

"Our new ATM is a multifunctional service point where you can withdraw and deposit money, but also consult on banking products and even check your health.

The machine uses a camera to provide a health check covering 10 different indicators. These include pulse, blood pressure, stress and fatigue levels, body mass index, estimated cholesterol and average blood glucose levels, risk of future glucose metabolism disorder, arterial stiffness, and heart rhythm variability. The assessment, available to users aged 18 and over, takes 30 seconds. Results are displayed on the screen and sent to the SberHealth app for further analysis.

Privacy and security

The ATM employs a two-screen design to improve privacy. The main display is shaped to maximise visibility for the user standing in front of the device. A secondary security screen sits in a recessed cavity and uses a film to prevent others from viewing sensitive data, such as PIN codes, balances, and transaction amounts.

Lighting around the ATM signals when the area is in use. Green lighting welcomes the next user, while orange indicates that others should remain outside the privacy zone.

AI integration

The built-in GigaChat intelligent assistant supports voice control, allowing customers to interact using natural language. Based on the SaluteSpeech engine, this feature can recognise complex queries and assist users with both banking operations and information about products.

The company says the ATM's interface is designed to be intuitive, catering to users regardless of their technical proficiency. Sber professionals developed both the machine and its software, and the company has submitted 11 patent applications for the device's design and technology.

Visibility and design

An integrated projector enables the ATM to display images and videos on the wall behind, making it more conspicuous within public spaces. The front panel incorporates visual elements intended to create a welcoming appearance.

Deployment plans

Sber intends to install the new ATMs across Russia from December. The company positions the device as a comprehensive service point offering access to financial and basic health-related information.

"Essentially, it is a universal hub for human well-being. We will start installing these ATMs across the country starting in December," said Alexander Vedyakhin, First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board, Sberbank.
