Yuno has added Ecommpay to its payments platform, extending payment method coverage for merchants across Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Through a single integration, Yuno merchants can now access Ecommpay's card payments, open banking, and more than 100 local and global payment methods. These include Apple Pay, Google Pay, instant payment schemes, and local options such as MB Way and PSE in Colombia.

The partnership targets enterprise merchants in retail and subscription businesses, which often want to roll out payment options across multiple markets faster without building separate integrations for each provider.

Yuno is a payments orchestration platform that connects merchants to more than 1,000 payment methods, providers, and fraud tools in more than 190 countries and territories through a single API. It does not acquire transactions itself, instead basing routing decisions on transaction performance data.

Founded in 2012 and headquartered in London, Ecommpay provides acquiring, payment processing, and orchestration. Its network includes more than 100 payment methods and open banking in 11 European markets.

The tie-up broadens Yuno's payment coverage in selected European and Asia-Pacific markets as merchants face growing pressure to offer familiar local checkout options. Payment providers have increasingly focused on reducing abandoned transactions when consumers do not see their preferred way to pay.

Mauricio Schwartzmann, Chief Financial Services Officer at Yuno, outlined the commercial rationale for the agreement.

"Enterprise merchants shouldn't have to choose between global reach and local performance," said Mauricio Schwartzmann, Chief Financial Services Officer at Yuno.

"With Ecommpay on Yuno, merchants can go live faster with the payment methods their customers expect across Europe and Asia-Pacific, backed by Ecommpay's in-house fraud prevention. One integration, broader coverage and stronger performance in every target market," Schwartzmann said.

Market reach

The addition gives Yuno clients access to Ecommpay's mix of local payment methods, card acceptance, and open banking through a single connection. For merchants selling across borders, this can reduce the operational burden of managing multiple direct relationships with payment providers in different jurisdictions.

Open banking is available in 11 European markets, the companies said. Local payment methods remain especially important in parts of continental Europe and Asia-Pacific, where card usage varies widely and consumers often prefer domestic bank transfer schemes or wallet products.

Yuno counts McDonald's, NetEase Games, GoFundMe, inDrive, and Rappi among the brands using its infrastructure. It also works with banks, acquirers, payment service providers, and wallets seeking to update payment systems without replacing core platforms.

Ecommpay said the partnership reflects a shared focus on helping merchants adapt to changes in online commerce.

"Yuno and Ecommpay share a mission to help businesses navigate and thrive in a fast-changing eCommerce landscape. Together we have built a portfolio that gives Yuno merchants a greater range of payment methods, reducing drop-offs when customers don't see a familiar way to pay at checkout," said Roy Blokker, Head of Commercial at Ecommpay.
